**Instructions: ** Divide players into teams. Each team has sixty seconds to memorise all of the items in the box below. Players are not permitted to take a photo of the game sheet or to write any of the objects down on paper at this stage of the game. Cut out and hide the clues that are located on the second sheet. Your class need to locate each clue which will contain an individual letter. They will write these letters on their game sheets. Once they have located the clues, they have to unscramble the letters which will reveal two separate words. These words spell a the name of a character from this popular movie! You could also split your class into two teams! Place the teams in two separate rooms and get them to locate the clues. The first team to find all of the clues and who unscramble the letters, wins!

This resource is a group activity where members of a team inspect a building to identify any hazards that pose a risk to employees who work there. This task has been used as part of a City and Guilds Employability module with adult learners. It has also been used as a team building task with KS3 learners. The team must inspect the building and identify hazards, before using a ‘Risk Assessment Matrix’ in order to determine the severity of the risk. Following this, they will then take part in a group meeting to discuss their finding. The seven page booklet has all the task sheets needed to complete the task and all instructions that the group must follow.

This is a fifteen paged booklet that I designed for adult learners who were completing a Level 1 City and Guilds Employability/ Personal Social Skills Course. This booklet is for the ‘Managing Personal Finance’ module. All the questions, tasks and scenarios meet the qualification criteria. As a tutor you can either go through the booklet page by page, using it as the base for your lesson plan or give the learners the book as a research project. This is a 18 page PPT which is based on the book Hatchet. I created this following reading chapter 4 of the book: just before Brian enters the woods. The class will imagine that they are in the same position as Brian and will write a list of items that they feel will aid survival until rescue comes. They will then discuss animals that they many encounter in the wilderness and the dangers of encountering these animals. Following this, the learners are given a scenario and then will answers 8 scenario based multi-choice questions ( answers and short explanations provided). The aim of the quiz is to determine whether or not they would survive a night in the wilderness! An extension task is provided also at the end of the PPT. a fun classroom activity.
